Mamma & Jan goes to California
Nice weather in the vine districts and an early thanksgiving turkey in Petaluma. That's the short summary of a nice weekend in Northern California!

Outside one of the vineyards in Napa (Sattui). We visited Mondavi, a classical first stop when you enter the Napa valley. Next we had lunch in Rutherford, Drove up to St. Helena and Calistoga. I thought we could take a look at Old Faithful, the geyser in Calistoga but $8 to wait up to an hour to a water fountain....nope. We drove back down south and thought Niebaum-Coppola, Francis Ford Coppola's estate would be a nice finish. Not so. It's now called Rubicon and they charge $25 entrance fee...come on! It was never that good...
We drove to Sattui instead. More people maybe but no entrance fee and complementary tasting.

The evening was spent with the Sas family in Petaluma. They treated us to an early Thanksgiving dinner. Thanks guys! Nicer dinner and breakfast. Alisa prepared dessert and crepes for breakfast. Very good!
