Astrid's first rock concert

Last night we went to see Bon Jovi. Astrid got her new ear muffs on and enjoyed the concert in her own way...

Sleeping solid through the whole concert despite a full HP Pavilion with everyone standing and singing through the whole show.

Astrid meets Kirstin & Sukhdeo

It's been 6 weeks since Dr. Kirstin Woo delivered Astrid and it was time for a checkup for Andi and for Astrid to meet Kirstin and also Dr. Sukhdeo at the Los Altos clinic.

Astrid was all smiles as you can see:-)

Lunchtime!

USA is the backwards country. You bring gifts for the baby before they are born and after the are born you bring food to assist the supposedly exhausted family (parents). Works for us:-)

IKANO checks out Napa...

Nils-Arne, Henrik and Daniel came from Sweden to attend Oracle Open World. When that was all done it was time to check out Napa and the vinyards.

Welcome Astrid!

A little more than a week after her scheduled due date Astrid Dewi Hedvig Fransson finally arrived early Friday morning, 12.55am.

She was 7.2 lbs and 19.5" (3,2kg and 49,5cm) and is of course beautiful:-)


We also wish to welcome Astrid's cousin, Gianella. She arrived a few days early. Just as beautiful and with just as proud and happy parents, Jason and Inu.

Parties with a Brazilian touch

First out was Gaby celebrating her NN (young) birthday at a southern style Restaurant in San Carlos. Wiiii...the food was good!


Andre & Carol thought long and hard about a housewarming;-) But is was a BBQ Brazilian style done right and worth waiting for! Yummy!

Short City Tour and a Baby Shower...

We had visitors from Chicago over the weekend and a Baby Shower to attend so on the way to Petaluma for Inu's Baby Shower we took Debby & Brad for a superfast San Francisco guide tour.



Next stop Petaluma! Lots of yummy Indonesian food waiting for us:-)

Noah's party...

Last Sunday Noah celebrated his third birthday and invited us for some beers and tacos in the park outside the apartment where he stays with his parents and little sister. We had a great time and I think he had to with all the new toys:-)

Baby Shower...sort of

Last weekend we invited friends and family over for a lunch "Indonesian Style" / baby shower. A real baby shower would be a girls only event but we decided to break with the "tradition" and have the guys over for some beer and Maiko's "strong lemonade":-)

Miss Piggy Tour...

For a little more than 3 weeks in June - July we had the pleasure of having my sister and her family with us here in California. I think it was a welcome break from the rainy weather back home in Sweden;-)

The Miss Piggy Tour lasted for 6 days and took us 2000 miles via Yosemite, Death Valley, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Los Angeles and back to Palo Alto and there is of course story to tell...

Last year Eva found out that Göran has family in Palo Alto (it's a small world). We of course visited "Lindy" (Barbara) who lives about a mile from us. At her house we saw Miss Piggy and Lindy told us that she is being passed around like a hot potato in her family since many years. Whenever you had visitors, Miss Piggy might be hiding somewhere..."left behind";-) We asked if we could take Miss Piggy with us on our roadtrip. We just might stop by Lindy's daughter in Santa Barbara...
