Cowboys and Native Americans...
Went to see a Powwow and a Rodeo this last summer.
The Powwow is held every year in Palo Alto at the Stanford campus. This was my first visit. The Rodeo is also a yearly event arranged at Driscoll Ranches almost down by the Pacific Ocean on Highway 84. Maybe 45 minutes drive from Palo Alto over the mountains.

Lake Mono
A few weeks ago I signed up for a photo workshop at Lake Mono. It was here, just east of Yosemite, that Ansel Adams lived and worked for more than 30 years. His grand daughter now runs the Mono Inn Restaurant just by the lake.
This is a beautiful place and I will surely go back as most people I talked seemed to do.

This is just a first batch of pictures all (click on the image for more...) taken on the Friday afternoon/evening when we arrived after a 6 hours drive over the Sierras and through Yosemite.
I will upload the rest in the next couple of days...

Sunset in Redwood Shores
Sometimes in the evenings around or just after sunset the emerald colored office buildings seems to be glowing. It only last for a few minutes and I almost captured it the other night. I now started to bring the camera to work every day...
I posted a few pictures that maybe gives an idea of the colors.
